The day begins before sunrise with Fajr prayer and morning adhkar, grounding the heart in remembrance as the first light emerges. After sunrise, we’ll gather for a post-Fajr teaching session with Ustadha Saara focused on the inner dimensions of fasting and self-discipline, preparing the soul for restraint, attentiveness, and conscious worship.
Following breakfast, we’ll set out for the White Sands Walk in Jervis Bay National Park — a stunning coastal trail that offers expansive ocean views, fresh air, and space for quiet reflection. The walk is taken at a steady, accessible pace, with opportunities to pause, observe, and reconnect with the signs of Allah in creation. Moderate fitness is required. Swimming at Hyam's beach is optional for those who wish to immerse themselves in the ocean before returning to the retreat property.
After returning and resting, we’ll reconvene for an extended afternoon teaching session that deepens the themes of self-accountability, intention, and approaching prayer and Qur’an with awareness rather than haste. A dedicated Q&A segment allows space for questions, clarification, and practical integration.
The late afternoon offers free time for rest, journaling, prayer, or personal reflection. As evening sets in, we’ll gather again for dinner, followed by dessert, tea, and a bonfire under the stars with reflections. Marshmallows, warmth, and stargazing create a gentle close to a full and nourishing day, allowing knowledge to settle inwardly rather than remain only intellectual.
