Event Description

Healing Through the Qur'an: Finding Light Through Surah ad-Duha & Surah al-Inshirah

For the first time ever, Sakinah Retreats is opening its doors to the world.

We're delighted to host our very first Sakinah Online Seminar, welcoming Muslim sisters from across the globe to join us for an evening of reflection, healing, and connection — wherever you call home.

Join us live on Sunday 19 July as Ustadh Sameer Noor explores the profound wisdom contained within Surah ad-Duha and Surah al-Inshirah — two chapters revealed to bring comfort, hope, and reassurance during times of hardship and distress.

At times, we all experience moments of sadness, anxiety, uncertainty, grief, or emotional overwhelm. Yet within the Qur'an, Allah provides words of comfort, reassurance, and healing that continue to speak to the human heart across every generation.

Through a faith-centred and holistic approach, this 3.5 hour seminar will explore how these surahs can help us better understand our emotional experiences, reframe our challenges, strengthen our connection with Allah, and cultivate resilience during difficult seasons of life.

Drawing upon both Islamic spirituality and therapeutic insight, we will reflect on themes including:

✨ Finding hope and meaning during periods of sadness and uncertainty.
✨ Understanding hardship and ease through the Qur'anic lens.
✨ Developing emotional resilience rooted in faith and tawakkul.
✨ Strengthening our relationship with Allah during times of struggle.
✨ Practical reflections and tools to support emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.

Participants will leave with a deeper appreciation of the Qur'an as a source of guidance, comfort, and healing, alongside practical insights that can be integrated into everyday life.

This workshop is ideal for Muslim adults seeking to strengthen their emotional wellbeing through a faith-centred approach. It is particularly suited to individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, grief, life transitions, or emotional overwhelm, as well as those who wish to deepen their relationship with Allah while developing practical coping strategies rooted in the Qur'an and Prophetic guidance.

No prior knowledge of counselling, psychology, or Islamic studies is required — only an open heart and a willingness to reflect.
